THE MAKING OF SUCCESSFUL CAREER (3)

...continued from last post

PROFESSIONEERING
According to the Oxford Advance Learner Dictionary, “Mentor is an experienced person who advises and helps somebody with less experience over a period of time.” Friend, no matter the level of your expertise in your career there are some folks you can’t beat when it comes to experience. Therefore, you must choose among them (these experience ones), the right ones for you to lean in their shoulder for advices and encouragements to fire your being up for continuity in your career. They have got ahead of that place, so they know what it takes. Mind you, receiving mentoring does not infer imitation. It should be an association where empowerment is being transferred.

A mentor must be someone that knows your values, strengths and understand your weaknesses – that has got connected with your ability and capability. Every known achiever has mentor they run to for experience and encouragement in their career journey to the accomplishments they attained.

PRAYER
Prayer is the breath to one’s career. Although, it (prayer) seems abstract but it is intangible. It sifts the air - forces that blow across one’s career to take in oxygen - divine resources for one’s career. You know how essential oxygen is to human’s life so also is prayer to one’s career. Therefore, it must be taking always.

There will always be times and things in life that will require help beyond the normal (physical) – your principles. At such times, all you need do is to go paranormal and seek divine help from God. Prayer is the platform from which one taps into faith and security over his undertakings. Can you yourself, after applying your principles make them work? Therefore, you need prayers to charge the force that drives principles to effective performance.

Support all you effort with prayers, even prayer is cumulative that is, no prayer is a waste and God will definitely do His own part then you are done for greatness in your career.

PLEASURE
“All work and no play make Jack a dull boy.” Always take time off your work to attend to your soul and relax yourself of the stress. This refreshes your soul and set up your being for better performance. Don’t be a workaholic; it reduces productivity. Plan your time properly to allow for vacation. However, organize your relaxing period in such a way not to detour you on the trend you follow.

Appreciate and encourage yourself in all your endeavors both when they end as planned and otherwise. Develop the mind that admits disappointments and always want to forge ahead. Disappointments are inevitable, they are part of our career and they are meant to make us improve on. Also, enjoy the ecstasies attributed to the achievements in your career. These (Admitting disappointments and enjoying achievements) gratify and revitalize your being to exploit better and further.

Friend, without further ado, turn to the “Man” inside you – “Mr. I” awake and provoke him to action and take your career beyond the usual to unusual accomplishments. Then you become SPECIAL SOMEBODY (Record holder) and append your name with magical sound.

Thanks for your time.

You’re a hero!

THE MAKING OF SUCCESSFUL CAREER (2)

...continued from last post

Support your goals with these seven pillars of successful planning:

Pace – You know your passion and the destination you are heading towards, so get well intimately and ultimately connected with them (your passion and destination) to get starting the procedures of goal setting. The goals you are setting must be MEASURABLE. The goals must be those that are worthwhile. They must be assessable to your passion. Your goals must be set to agree to the same motion with your mission per action.

Period – Your goals must be TIME FRAMED – timely and time-bound. In setting your goals, you must develop the ability of thinking relationally. You must be able to see ahead the present and be able to see relationship between seemingly disjointed events and information. (Discovery they say, is seen what everybody else has seen and thinking what nobody else has thought). This will allow you to discover opportunities in time thus, setting goals to time.

Precision – In your goal setting enterprise, you most be as meticulous as possible. Set goals that are CLEAR AND PRECISE. Analogically, “I want to take enough water daily this month” this is not clear enough (I want to) and not precise (enough water). Do not set goal of this kind, rather “I shall take seven cups of water daily this month” (“shall” and “seven” make this goal clear and precise respectively). Therefore, your goals must be clear enough to pinpoint precision.

Practicability – Impossible is nothing. However, your goals must not be abstract; they must be LOGICAL AND FEASIBLE. Although, I admonish people to dare impossibility and attain the unattainable but in goal setting you must mind your capacity and qualities at hand. Set goals that are answerable to your passion.

Penning – Properly considering all these aforementioned pillars, your goals are now well developed to comfortably permit succinct enumeration. Mind you, before applying all these aforementioned pillars you must have made a rough list of the goals – the list you are going to weigh above pillars with. That is your goals must be PENNABLE right from the out set. Now the rough list is well scrutinized, write your goals down boldly and orderly.

Practice – Now your goals are ready. For what? ACTION! Charge your being for efficient and result-oriented action. Action is the knock that drives in the nail of accomplishment in one’s career. Act on those well-developed goals one after the other with focus, perseverance, patience, persistence and determination. That is one step at a time. Your passion can’t wait any longer. It is dying for display. Act now! Act right!

Prayer – “Work and pray.” Believe in yourself. However, your ability alone is not enough. Therefore, support your goals and actions with DIVINE BACKING and have faith. Prayer is the master key that locks and unlocks any door that proofs thwarting.

PREPARED
The undisputable fact is that we are in the computer age; where little recognition is attributed to physical labor, rather much accolades go with mental proficiency. However, the quality upstairs informs the physical performance. The skills you are equipped with is the brain for your career. It determines your productivity and your portion in your career. Therefore, don’t you think they need to be developed and you need to acquire more?

Skill acquisition is the gaining and the development of physical and mental proficiency for improved, refined and timely productive accomplishments in one’s endeavor. Without the appropriate skills, one remains below the ladder in his career. The world today belongs to the relative thinkers and refined performers. Skill acquisition is the tonic one takes to fortify himself with the required competence in his career. Skill acquisition holds the package that will deliver one with the confidence needed to triumph in his career. Attend seminars, workshops, conference and take professional courses that are relevant to your career. Make every experience educational. Seek information; it is the strength of your career. Listen to news, read newspapers, magazines, biographies, books, surfing the internet and associate. By these you are replete with information. Information harness you easily and timely with opportunities while how equipped (skillful) you are determines how effective you convert them to accomplishments.

So, be informed today and be equipped with required and relevant skills, then you are great in your career.

PACT
Of every resource, human is the greatest – for it opens doors to every other resource. Therefore, you must build mutual links with other positive minds. Develop upwardly motivated networks. These (links) are the connective tissues of your career that connect you and your passion with other destiny-conscious folks for vibrant and mutually rewarding relationship. Develop the habit of moving towards places where onward mobile folks relate. Places like seminars, workshops, conferences, exhibitions, concerts, logical ceremonies, right restaurants, constructive associations, cinemas and the like.

Success has a way of connecting with one another. If you want to become an enviable achiever in your career, harness a means of forming alliance with purpose-conscious people and build extensive network where you can have access to knowledge, ideas, constructive advices, inspirations, motivations and empowerments that will move you up the ladder of success to fulfillment palace in your career.

THE MAKING OF SUCCESSFUL CAREER

Who are you? Where are you? Why are you? What do you live for? Before we continue in today’s expedition – The Making of Successful Career, I will want you to take your time, muse on these questions, and see how efficient you can to provide constructive answers to them. However, for resourceful help check back on our past expeditions; “What is Life About?” “Once King” “Zero to Hero 1&2” and “Precept for the Next Level” from the blog (http://da-revelation.blogspot.com) archive.

Now let us welcome ourselves powerfully on board to another stardom-driven expedition. Today we shall be discussing on “The P’s of Career Prosperity”. You are on a mission on this stage – earth and it’s (mission) purpose is your right to fulfillment in life.

Friend, how do the names of famous people beat our eardrum? Do they beat it magically that we want more? Do the names excite our imagination with positive thoughts and images that we crave to be like them? Yes! When names like: Michael Adenuga, Michael Jordan, Michael Phelps, and Michael Power sound to our mind, they make us believe that “Michael” is not an ordinary name but a name with inherent influence that automatically showers fame on the bearer. Therefore, most times, we because of this name our children such name - “Michael”. Also, famous folks like; Barack Obama, Williams Shakespeare, Ronaldo, Obafemi Awolowo and the like make us choose their names as alias and even address ourselves as such – “Am the Shakespeare of our time”. This is because we want people to see us as possessing the qualities of these people. But I tell you, name does not define a person rather one defines himself and gives his name the meaning it carries.

Barack Obama today is a name everybody wants to associate with in one way or the other. This man, Barack Obama was a son of nobody in some years back, but he – the man in the name rouse to the occasion of his life and touch his individuality. And today Barack Obama is no longer a name but a brand - a phenomenon. This shows how great you are if only you could arouse the man inside you to rise up to the occasion of your life, defines himself, and give your name a magical meaning.

It is an established fact; we admire people like; Barack Obama, Usain Bolt, Bill Gates and the Michaels mentioned above, not for anything but for their respective accomplishments in their careers. Friend, let’s discard the belief that these people are made specially with unusual abilities. They were all once “Mr. Nobody” but they became “Mr. Somebody” by their choice to rise up and make constructive decision about their life; they decided to tread on the path that gave their individuality the ability that made their qualities strived beyond the usual to unusual accomplishments – making them unusual special people. However, the relieving news here is that these qualities are intrinsic and acquirable. That is everybody has got the qualities and possibilities to become SOMEBODY.

Yes! We are on mission on “this stage” so we need to act fast. We have got career to build. Succeeding in it and backing it up with laudable accomplishments to become unusual achiever, we need putting some recipes that have proven result-oriented over the years. The recipes that those known heroes have adopted into their career that made them record holders.

Hero in making here we go:
PASSION
There are different kinds of career holders:
Ø Those that are driven by pay
Ø Those that are driven by pain
Ø Those that are driven by passion
Be driven by passion and see for yourself how your career will be placed on upward course to overtake any other driven forces (pain and pay). As mission is to vision so, passion is to individuality. As a man’s vision decides his mission and his mission is the platform on which he develops his career, so also, a man’s individuality decides his passion while the passion stays put him in the career (passion is a subject to individuality).

Passion is a strong feeling of enthusiasm towards a venture. Check every achiever in any field, passion is the key to their success. Passion is the virtue that empowers your qualities to dare the unusual in your career and overcome the invincible. Calvin Coolidge wrote; “Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan “Press on” has solved and will always solve the problems of humans race.” Passion is the heart with the beats that pump one’s career with the required persistence and determination. Passion is an invincible driven force that builds indomitable spirit through patience, perseverance and persistence.

However, educationists and employers often accolade credentials but this will never take the place of the intangible driven force of passion. Above 80% of all the great achievers (heroes) known were underdogs during there school days. This is what David Olaoye saw while he wrote; “I don’t salute talent or education but pay tribute and doff my hat to passion because it is the force behind the well of progress.” Be driven by passion today, then you are on the upward trajectory in your career to record holders’ countryside.

PLANNING
The ability to see ahead, think ahead and plan ahead the present is another vital recipe that move one ahead in his career. As a career holder, where you are going is nothing like where you are coming. As to this, there are things (goals) you must set in place per time to get “There”. You must set goals both short and long term’s. Goal setting is the sense of your career. It is meant to perceive the stimuli (opportunities) and response to them.

Support your goals with these seven pillars of successful planning:

PRECEPT FOR THE NEXT LEVEL

Welcome!
I am greatly inspired and highly motivated to see you on board again today. I strongly believe that the various (Da revelation’s) expeditions on this site,
http://da-revelation.blogspot.com/ have been of great empowerment to you and the HERO within. Even with the last expedition, “ZERO TO HERO (Part 2) - The Hero in You Your Right to Fulfillment”, I know you are now in touch with your individuality and on the way to your palace in the fulfillment countryside.

However, if this happens to be your first time on this site, I mean if you are joining Da revelation expedition for the first time, I bet it, you are in the right place at this right time. Then you are powerfully welcome to that channel where great dreamers and achievers like you and I can tune to for inspirations, motivations, encouragements and empowerments to birth and raise the hero within to stardom.

You and I have seen, read and heard about how some people, even those with disabilities, have overcome their incapability and the inevitable hurdles of life to become hero. Now, ask yourself this simple question; which one do you want to be among, those who come into a room and say: “Here I am” or those who come into a room and say: “Ah! Here you are.”

Friend, before we embark on the flight for today’s expedition I will like to seize this opportunity to intimate you with some of our inspirational, motivational and purpose-empowering expeditions, which include “What is Life About?” “Once King!” “Zero to Hero (Part1) – How Has The Royalty Got Lost?” and “Zero to Hero (Part2) – The Hero in You Your Right to Fulfillment.” You cannot afford to miss out of any of these expeditions – check them out yourself in this blog archive and see for yourself the hero you could turn out to become.

Today’s expedition! Yes! Your palace in the fulfillment countryside beckons. Therefore, in today’s expedition, “Da revelation” is set to reveal to you some untold secrets of life – all to empower you to be able to answer the beckoning and take up your palace and reign. This expedition shall be taking you through some purpose-fulfilling-empowerment titbits. And I know as you go through them with expectation, you are set for the next level.

Here we go:
Compromising one’s individuality; one totally give up his inspirations, motivations, encouragements, empowerments, dreams, vision, thus, his mission (purpose) – his right to fulfillment in life.

Your lifestyle is a function of your association (peer), a determinant to your height in life.

Stop pretence, stop imitation, stop playing it save (stop avoiding appropriate risks); all are to give you the opportunity to touch your individuality so you do not miss out of the fulfillment embedded in your choice to be and express who you really are.

Negative people – the pessimists live by the law of accident while positive people – the optimists live by the law of cause and effect; now you realize life is never a matter of chance but of choice. Choose right!

Do not ever expect life to give you what you desire, it will never, rather it is always alert and ever ready to give to you what you demand.

Never blame a day in your life; good days give happiness, so also bad days give experience. Both are essential in one’s life – make every happening educational.

The best is not just got because you are the best but because you recognize what you worth and you think you can, so, not minding the hurdles to cross, you go after it; thus, you get it. At the turn, people recognize you as the best and you are addressed as such.

Life is all about you, why you are who you are where you are, so build a better world by building a better you.

Inside the hollow space in “U” lies, “GREATNESS” so what you are questing for is inside you.

If you are yet to find something intriguing to your soul even when you fail, in that your venture; then it won’t be what you were meant for.

The one unique thing about;
i. Heroes – They think positive
ii. Inventors – They think possible
iii. Winners – They think they can
While the greatest quality of losers is “Self-Doubt.”

Among which do you want history to record you? People that want it happen, people that watch it happen or people that make it happen! Think positive, think possible, think you can and make it happen! Then you are done here.

Ask yourself today, “What do I live for?” and is it what dying for?

Your dream is but a reality if only you are ready to help and support others you meet on the way in the pursuit of yours.

Act right!

Welcome once again and congratulation for the hitch-free expedition. Am sure you enjoy the flight and you are greatly inspired!
NOTE: Friend, you cannot afford to miss the next expedition because it is going to be powerfully addressing; “The Recipe for Success in Your Mission (Chosen Career).”

Thanks for your time.

ZERO TO HERO (Part2)

The Hero In You - Your Right To Fulfillment.
The great writer, T.D. Jakes said in one of his book: “The unexamined life falls short of who we could be and what God has empowered us to do, and makes it a tragedy, a life wasted.” This shows how vital self-discovery could be to human development in life. However, most have battled with the intricacy of who they really are for long even right from their youth. But, along the way, they gave up the battle to peer pressure not for the sake of anything but out of their desperation to locate the place, group or person who will reveal or tell them who they are and what their ability can undertake.

Truly, knowing and exploring who we are could be complex but the unavoidable fact is that it starts with and within us. This is the more reason you must awake now, not minding your age and status arouse your senses and touch your individuality to recognize what you are capable of accomplishing. Do not limit yourself by conceiving inside you that you are too young or by being self-sufficient that you are too old to birth the hero within you. It is never too early or too late to touch one’s destiny and hold on to it to start the reign. You may wish to know; Mattie Stepanek between the age of 11 and 13 wrote five award-winning chat that top the best-selling poetry books, Farrar Gray became millionaire at age 14, Grandma Moses started painting at 78 and gained international recognition at 80 while Colonel Sanders overcame poverty to become millionaire at 66. Now you know, yours will not be the first but it will definitely add you to the list of exceptional heroes in the history book.

Who told you; you can not be the best singer, the best actor, the best teacher, the best poet or the like, the world is waiting for or the first to make that invention? But because of some hurdles, which I referred to as “inevitable hurdles” in Part1, you have abased yourself to the position of mediocrity, thereby compromising your individuality and totally giving up on your dreams and visions; the inspiration for birthing the hero inside you. However, I will quickly like to make this clear to you. The best is not just got because you are the best but because you recognize what you worth and you think you can, so not minding the hurdles to cross you go after it; thus you get it. At the turn, people recognize you as the best and you are addressed as such.

Therefore, the time has come for you to reclaim your lost individuality. So relax yourself and be expectant as we move on in today’s http://da-revelation.blogspot.com expedition to reveal who you were really meant to be; embrace it, explore it because by it you have the right to unleash the hero within you and take up your reign.

Welcome powerfully on board! Your being on board again today for the Part 2 of the expedition – ZERO TO HERO (Part1), tells me vividly how you crave strongly for fulfillment in life. What is fulfillment? Fulfillment is the level or stage you reach in life that your soul attains satisfaction. Mind you, being rich does not always imply being fulfilled. I have seen rich people, who have good home and lucrative business but cry inside voicelessly because they are on the wrong pursuits - not fulfilled.

The heroes like Michael Jordan, Usain Bolt, King Sunny Ade and Bill Gates who fulfilled their dreams connected firmly to their gifts and talents to motivate and raise the hero in them to stardom thereby winning for themselves the recognition and the celebration, which attracted to them the pay, they get for doing what they love. This simply implies that when one finds that “Thing” he would do for the joy and the fulfillment of doing it, such has found his mission and he is on the path to fulfillment in life. How then do we discover this? This is the sixty-four thousand dollar question. To answer it we must first firmly intimate ourselves with who we are and know what we are capable of doing. Although, many are those who will to attain stardom in life but what their upbringing and their environment reveal to them as regards their identity has shortchanged them. This is the more reason you must give it all it demands to discover, explore and celebrate your individuality if in any case you must birth and raise the hero in you to stardom. For clarity sake if you are yet to find something intriguing to your soul even when you fail, in that your venture; then it won’t be what you were meant for.

To discover that “Thing” – your mission, let us return to the Self-Analysis Exercise you completed in Part 1. What strengths stand out? What weaknesses stand so debilitating and what have you learnt from them (How they limit you)? What is it that you derive fun in doing that you do freely? To make this task more resourceful, ask yourself which set of people in your utopia did you ever want to roll with? In addition, how do you want to be remembered while you have passed on? Your answers to these questions will clearly paint for you the area your gifts and talents fit, where you suppose to be operating now.

So, why not taking right steps to develop and maximize yourself in the right area you were meant to function. Take appropriate risks today and stop playing it safe. Retrieve your being from the fear of what others will think or say; however, it is your own life. Pursue your mission, confront the inevitable, dare the impossibilities and attain that which seems unattainable. Then you salvage your life from the cobwebs of wasted existence and become the hero you were meant to be.

Nonetheless, knowing and pursuing your mission do not mean life will now become a bed of roses, there are barriers to break, hurdles to cross, obstacles to overcome before you get there – your destination. Where you are set for is nothing like where you were coming from or where you are now. However, never succumb to the lacerations and bruises obtain in your struggles to overcome these barriers and hurdles to take to drug, drinking, sex or other dream killer as a means of anesthetizing the pains. These will never get one over these hurdles; they just worsen the situation and deter one. Nevertheless, you might need to change; lifestyles, priorities, jobs, locations, and surround yourself with objects that will keep reminding you where your destination lies.

Invincibly develop the needed; passion, capacity, confidence and perseverance that will sustain you beyond prejudices, fear, limitations, daily endeavors and motivate your motion in the journey toward the destination. You must not surrender to any issue that may arise to deter you, but rather, make every experience educational as you move from one phase to another in the journey. Appraise your weaknesses and learn to manage them so they will not overshadow your strengths and create distractions for you.

Hey! Lest I forget, one cheapest way we lose focus and give up our real mission - our right to fulfillment is by trying to live in another man’s footsteps. Better said, trying to become who other people want us to be. However, it is of the essence to learn from other people and receive mentoring from experienced folks.

Friend, without further ado turn to the “Man” inside you – “Mr. I” awake and provoke him to action to explore your individuality and savor a mission after your dreams. Be the best of who you are, then the hero in you emerges on the stardom stage of life and you win yourself a palace in the fulfillment countryside. Thus, history will ever live to remember the landmark you have made.

Thanks for your time and above all let meet at the top!

You’re a hero!

ZERO TO HERO (Part1)

How Has The Royalty Got Lost?
Yes! Some people don’t know where they are. Some don’t know why they are. Some don’t know who they are. Oh! Many don’t know why they are who they are where they are. Let me ask you; how many of the deaths recorded daily ever received the accolades that the performing stage of life holds for the hero in them before they passed on? The answer to this question will reveal how unexpressed within-heroes answer grave call daily. However, not that this dead never will it – to be revered and honor, but along the way the “will” of their life turn to “wish” because of imagined and material barriers has the great visionary, Gideon Bankole called what I referred to as inevitable hurdles of life. Thus they give up their royalty.

However, you and I have read, seen and heard about how people who are once referred to as underdog have overcome and crossed the inevitable hurdles of their life to register their name boldly in the book of history. Now! Ask yourself this simple question; are you the utopia you dream of in your childhood? The answer to this question will provide you with the clear picture of how you ever wanted to rein, to be valued and revered. How come now you are not in the reign? Why do you remain in that position for too long? Why does everything turn inside out? The royalty is lost! (Has rightly explained in the last post- “Once King”). Painfully today most live wrongly. Why? Because they no longer pay tribute to their Individuality* - they’ve totally lost it. Thus they traded their right to significance in life. And this has greatly deprived many of the opportunity to birth and raise the hero within to stardom. Therefore, they inescapably lose the recognition due for the royalty they bear. As to this they occupy the relegation zone.

To move beyond the inevitable hurdles of life that have left you in that continuing condition of unvoiced cries and contact the due celebration that awaits the hero within. Better still, for you to join the clique of living heroes such as: Soichiro Honda, Bill Gate, and the recently celebrated Usain Bolt and President Barrack Obama you must be ready to take a bold step and acknowledge those fundamental principles they have followed to come that far: a well designed procedure and process of examining your life; a lucid picture of where you are and who you are. (The article: “What is life about?” earlier posted on this blogsite ascertained that life is about why you are who you are you may wish to check this out)

Friend, you must be ready to appraise your current state and get a clear picture of where you really are in the journey of life. Though embarking on this may be difficult a task to carry out and even the result may come out to be daunting, mind you this is a vital step in the journey to liberty and fulfillment. The great writer T. D. Jakes wrote; in order to move forward in life, you must acknowledge your pain and recognize your needs and tend to your suffering soul. That is you must abase yourself and get contented (but not satisfied) with the journey of your life and stop waiting for you to attain certain destination before real life commences. What I mean by this is that you must take total responsibility for the direction your life has taken and know you are the only one that has the power to change it.

In the same vein, you must also be willing and ready to know yourself at an intimate level that supersedes others opinions and approval. You have to look beyond your personality* to examine your thought and admit who you are. The importance of this is what T. D. Jakes identified when he said; “the unexamined life falls short of who we could be and what God has empowered us to do, and makes it a tragedy, a life wasted.” So for once life not to be worthless and his living not to be a waste he must intimately and ultimately know who he is to that level he will be comfortable with.

Of all the factors of history making; knowing who you are is the utmost – for it apprises you with what you are capable of; the specific service you are designed for where you are. Nonetheless, I know what it looks like to wrestle with the intricacy of who you are but for you to liberate yourself from that struggling position and retrieve your dream from the captivity of your weaknesses you must at this juncture prepare to engage in a simple but crucial exercise – “Self-Analysis Exercise.” Friend, if you are now thinking “how can I get to know who I am truly?” Here comes the answer.

Now! Get a plain sheet of paper on which you will make a character* list by listing without pride and self-delusion your strengths and weaknesses. You can do this by tabulation or any how you find it interesting. Your strengths are those positive attributes of yours; these may include loyalty, time consciousness, creativity, leadership skill, integrity, analytical skill, assiduity and so on. While your weaknesses may include unstable self-esteem, segregation, pride, narrow mindedness, lack of confident, procrastination, indecision, lustfulness, and the like. You can list as many as possible strengths and weaknesses you can think of. But remember you must be fair and objective with yourself in this exercise.

This is what heroes like those mentioned above have one time in their life done (Though methodology may be different but same is the exercise). So for you to be like them – these heroes, you need to apply similar tactics that fit.

Note: However, to make it easier for you even while you might not want anyone to see the list, you might still require the assistance of some trusted friends on their own to help you make a personality* list – listing your strengths and weaknesses as how much as they know you. Make them see while they should be objective and honest with their listing. Appraise these personality* lists with your character* list; what do you deduce?

This expedition shall halt at this port to allow you carry out this History-Making-in-Life Exercise. Meanwhile, at the end of the list try not to be ashamed or feel guilty of the listed weaknesses and rather should you be self-sufficient with your listed strengths. Who we are is much more complex than just a “positive” and “negative” list of characters*.

In the next voyage, our (http://da-revelation.blogspot.com) expedition shall address and simplify the complexity of who we are and how the self-analysis list you have made can be used to inspire, birth, and raise the hero in you to stardom and record your name among men that history will live to remember shall also be discussed.

Thanks for your patience!

You’re a hero!

ONCE KING

Once King
I strongly believe that the last post on this site has rightly charged your being as it provided an unrivaled lucid answer to a crucial question – “What is life about?” The right answer supplied by the article is what most ignored that still left them in that position they are today. No wonder this purpose-revealing question (What is life about?) is referred to as the “Mother” of all questions that has to do with purpose in life. Consequently, its answer provides the foundation for fulfillment in life.

Hey! Lest I take too much of your time because I also recognize how precious time could be; so do I urge you to quickly join the “da revelation” fight as we voyage straight to the revelation of this day post.

Welcome on board! Peradventure after reading through the article “What is life about” you were able to discover yourself – Who you are; why you are; and more comprehensively, why you are who you are where you are, but somehow you are still left in doubt or better said the answer you got looks incredible. Never mind, this might be due to the previous perspective you conceive about yourself i.e. your self-esteem*. Nevertheless, don’t be daunted; you just unveiled yourself - the HERO in you*.

However, before we go further in this voyage, I will like us to halt; allowing you to take a critical consideration on the kind of treatment receives by a foetus while in womb and as a baby. Then you realize; the baby is treated and adored king. So also you were while in that phase. Now pause and sigh! Ask yourself what like, a king is meant to be in his kingdom and even to other kingdoms. At this juncture you realize vividly how you were meant to be – Reign and Rule! But what has happened in the process? What has gone wrong?
Once King!
How deserted lies the soul
That once so treasured
How like outcast is the one
Who once was heir in the kingdom
How like alien is the being
Who once was clothed with regal splendor
How has the value lost
How has the care been withdrawn
How has the honor turned rebuke
Hey! The royalty is lost.

How relegated lies the being
That once full of reign
How like slave is the one
Who once was master in charge
How like servant is the being
Who once was adored a king
How has the regal priesthood departed
How has the kingship suffered abdication
How has the praises turned reproach
Hey! The royalty is lost.

Welcome once again and congratulation for the hitch-free expedition. Am sure you enjoy the flight and you are greatly inspired!

Hey! It just occurred to me I have left you with a crucial question – “How has the royalty got lost?” unanswered. Am sorry but I never intended it. It is due to the fact that purpose-fulfilling questions can not all be answered once because one leads to another (they are in phases). Nonetheless, for explicit and right answers to life crucial questions you can always check “da revelation’s” flight schedule by your regular visit to http//da-revelation.blogspot.com to join our various expeditions which are meant to inspire the HERO in you to stardom.

Meanwhile, the next post shall be addressing the question - “How has the royalty got lost?”

Wishfully, your questions and comments are highly welcome!

You’re a hero!

WHAT IS LIFE ABOUT?

WHAT IS LIFE ABOUT?

The birth of a new baby's always heralded with a cry from the baby, but joy from the family and well- wishers. Why are we happy while the new baby comes out crying? Nearly everyone knows the cause of the happiness. But why does the baby come crying? This is the $64,000 question that we all seem to delight. Rather, we seem to take delight in the baby’s sadness.

Most times, I wonder deep within my mind’s depths about this scenario. Why the weeping? What is the cry about? What must be responsible for making the innocent little infant start of its life with a cry? “JAMB question.” In the quest for answers to this easily overlooked, but critical question, I cannot but ask another critical question: what is life all about?

The baby cries as it pokes out its head into this world because it comes out with the same question – what is life all about? – But could not find immediate answers to this question. The new comer realizes it is in the journey of life and confused on how precisely to navigate in our confused world. So the question lingers, “what is life all about?”

Today, many people (even the gown ups) are still unable to find answers to this destination-revealing question. What is life about? Pause and ponder. Try to answer the question; I realized there is a need to ascertain 2 things;

1. Who you are

2. Why you are

These two questions constitute the “what is life about?” question. And if you and I must make the life’s journey easily and meaningfully, we must provide answers to these two “make-up” questions about ourselves.

Every new life is a new being on earth! Which ever way you come to this world, so far you went through the process of fusion, the Biologists agrees that you are a brand new and unique individual, who has never existed before you were born. Even if want to think in terms of cloning, Biotechnologist states that cloning is a copy of animal or plant. You and I know that a copy of something will only exist if there is or was an original! Even a cloned organism has variations or genetic recombination that differentiates it from the original. Besides, there’s no known man who is cloned.

Therefore, every normal human (even identical twins) is unique. No two persons can have exact traits, skills, talents, beliefs, convictions, potentials and intellectual capacities. To make it pragmatic and even more convincing, the fact is, no other human being has the finger print as yours anywhere under the sun! So you are you and I am me. You are designed to be exclusive.

In other words, you must understand that your make up (skills, talents, convictions, potentials, intellectual capacity etc) is your individuality – those things that make you who you are and differentiates you from others. It is also your inbuilt compass to help you navigate in the journey of life.

In this wise, this exquisite and precious asset of yours - your individuality is worth searching out. And when found, you have to cling tenaciously to it, nurture it and treasure it. Most important of all, live it. Living it answers why you are! It makes you able to occupy the vacuum that has always being there, waiting specifically for only you to fill. This affords you the right to importance and fulfillment in life. Every man is specifically designed for specific purposes.

In this vain, I admonish you never to try to follow in another man’s scripts. That is, do not imitate. It rids people of their significance and individuality. But it is expedient that one learns from others and receives adequate mentoring from experienced ones.

Life is about why you are who you are. This is unqualified, unrivalled, purpose-fulfilling answer to the all time soul-troubling, life-threatening, but destination-revealing question – “What is life about?”

Be yourself. Live your life.

You've Been Deceived

Who am I?

Think am what (my body) you see?

Think am good/bad

Hey! That's not me

It's just the veil

Used to mask the real me

Either to please/displease you

YOU'VE BEEN DECEIVED!

Who am I?

Exhibiting the veil

You accept/reject me

Hey! That’s not my will

It’s just my wish (apparent me)

Am relieved but never fulfilled

All for your sake

YOU’VE BEEN DECEIVED!

Who am I?

Thought the veiling ever alerts

True me still flashes unconsciously

Whew! Never knew he’s like this

Yes! You’ve seen a little true me

Whence comes my sense of freedom

Don’t be surprised

YOU’VE BEEN DECEIVED!

Who am I?

Unmasking who I am (the real me)

Look beyond my laughter/frown

Examine my smile/grimace

‘Cos veiled by my body;

My soul and spirit

The emergence of the true me

YOU’VE BEEN DECEIVED!

Footnote:

Body – Persona (lity); you, as seen by others

Soul – Character; who you really are

Spirit – Individuality; what makes you different
