THE MAKING OF SUCCESSFUL CAREER (3)

...continued from last post

PROFESSIONEERING
According to the Oxford Advance Learner Dictionary, “Mentor is an experienced person who advises and helps somebody with less experience over a period of time.” Friend, no matter the level of your expertise in your career there are some folks you can’t beat when it comes to experience. Therefore, you must choose among them (these experience ones), the right ones for you to lean in their shoulder for advices and encouragements to fire your being up for continuity in your career. They have got ahead of that place, so they know what it takes. Mind you, receiving mentoring does not infer imitation. It should be an association where empowerment is being transferred.

A mentor must be someone that knows your values, strengths and understand your weaknesses – that has got connected with your ability and capability. Every known achiever has mentor they run to for experience and encouragement in their career journey to the accomplishments they attained.

PRAYER
Prayer is the breath to one’s career. Although, it (prayer) seems abstract but it is intangible. It sifts the air - forces that blow across one’s career to take in oxygen - divine resources for one’s career. You know how essential oxygen is to human’s life so also is prayer to one’s career. Therefore, it must be taking always.

There will always be times and things in life that will require help beyond the normal (physical) – your principles. At such times, all you need do is to go paranormal and seek divine help from God. Prayer is the platform from which one taps into faith and security over his undertakings. Can you yourself, after applying your principles make them work? Therefore, you need prayers to charge the force that drives principles to effective performance.

Support all you effort with prayers, even prayer is cumulative that is, no prayer is a waste and God will definitely do His own part then you are done for greatness in your career.

PLEASURE
“All work and no play make Jack a dull boy.” Always take time off your work to attend to your soul and relax yourself of the stress. This refreshes your soul and set up your being for better performance. Don’t be a workaholic; it reduces productivity. Plan your time properly to allow for vacation. However, organize your relaxing period in such a way not to detour you on the trend you follow.

Appreciate and encourage yourself in all your endeavors both when they end as planned and otherwise. Develop the mind that admits disappointments and always want to forge ahead. Disappointments are inevitable, they are part of our career and they are meant to make us improve on. Also, enjoy the ecstasies attributed to the achievements in your career. These (Admitting disappointments and enjoying achievements) gratify and revitalize your being to exploit better and further.

Friend, without further ado, turn to the “Man” inside you – “Mr. I” awake and provoke him to action and take your career beyond the usual to unusual accomplishments. Then you become SPECIAL SOMEBODY (Record holder) and append your name with magical sound.

Thanks for your time.

You’re a hero!
